Proline is a nonessential amino acid and one of the main components of collagen, which makes up about 90% of connective tissue in the body.

Description: White crystals or crystalline powder; slightly sweet taste. Very soluble in water, freely soluble in glacial acetic acid, sparingly soluble in ethanol, practically insoluble in ether.
